1 hour Workshops
Workshops are a fun, interactive and hands on approach to learning about nutrition and health foods. In-class school workshops are available from Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 3:30pm and last approximately one hour.
How it works:
Presentations include an age appropriate nutrition lesson following the concepts of Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating. Students will get to practice their knowledge by making healthy snacks in class using products from local companies. The first 30 minutes will consist of the lesson and the next 30 minutes will consist of a hands on snack making session and of course getting to eat their creations.
It is the school's responsibility to ensure all allergies and cultural food barriers are communicated prior to the workshop.
Students per presentation:
Kindergarten (5 years) to grade 12 (18 years)
*Please inquire about grades that fall outside of this age range
